Marcia Hayden Hendrick
An award-winning songwriter, Marcia writes story songs that span genres, packed with emotional content and lyrics that connect the listener to the common well of human experience. Born in Montana and raised in Massachusetts, she grew up in a household filled with music and musical instruments, and spent her formative years listening to classical, folk, and pop music. Later she became exposed to country music, and was drawn to its stories. Marcia released her first CD, "Water In The Well" in 2008. Her second CD, "Lucky Girl" was released in January 2012. She performs in Western Massachusetts on a regular basis.
Marcia has been influenced by songwriters such as John Prine, Gillian Welch, John Hiatt, Merle Haggard, Steve Earle and Warren Zevon.
